The Golden Day of Destiny: Why Akshaya Tritiya Is Unstoppable

The word Akshaya means that which can never be destroyed. And the Tritiya date is considered to be a form of Akshaya Tritiya, which means the day on which nothing bad happens, whatever you take, it does not get destroyed.
The chanting, penance, fasting and any other auspicious work done on the day of Akshaya Tritiya does not go waste. On this day, people buy many things because it is believed that there is nothing to be bought on this day and the things that are a symbol of good fortune are bought on this day, which includes gold, silver, land, earthen pots, God's things etc.

Lord Parshuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was born on Akshaya Tritiya, this is the Hindu mythological belief, that is why Parshuram Jayanti is celebrated on this day. He was a skilled warrior, he is still considered a symbol of power and justice. On this day, remembering Lord Parshuram, people donate to Brahmins, get yagya done, they do penance, people take many auspicious resolutions on this day and start their auspicious work.

On the day of Akshaya Tritiya, during the Mahabharata period, when the Pandavas went into exile, Lord Surya gave them a vessel called Akshaya Patra. This vessel was not an ordinary vessel, whenever the Pandavas ate from it, food would keep coming out of it until all the Pandavas ate from it, so Akshaya Tritiya is also considered a symbol of food.
Beginning of Treta Yuga!
According to Indian Puranas and Upanishads, one of the four Yugas, Treta Yuga also started on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. This was the same Treta Yuga in which Lord Rama, immortal kings like King Dasharath were found and the wicked Ravana was killed. In some Yuga, Maharishi Vashishtha was also born. Therefore, this day is considered a symbol of new beginning and people also do Griha Pravesh in their house on this day to make a new beginning.

According to Hindu Puranas and Upanishads, on this day Kubera was made the ruler.And Maa Lakshmi is anyway considered the goddess of wealth, so on this day special worship is done of Kubera and others. People start their new shops and new items by worshipping them.Therefore, people worship Kuber and Lakshmi ji on this day for investment, gain of wealth, and success.

Akshaya Tritiya has a different significance in Hinduism as well as Jainism. According to Jainism, their first Tirthankara Rishabhdev took food on this day after a long period of rigorous penance. This day is the day of completion of one year of fasting in this religion, which is called Varshi day. Therefore, Akshaya Tritiya is also considered a symbol of sacrifice, dedication and self-purification.
People nowadays dedicate their services to Gaushala and orphanage. People nowadays observe fast on this day for their soul purification, thinking that if they have done anything wrong, then everything will be rectified by observing fast on this day.
