Why Is Lord Rama Called Maryada Purushottam?

From Treta Yuga to Kalyug today, everyone knows Lord Rama as Maryada Purushottam Lord Rama. The title Maryada Purushottam is not just two words attached to him, it is a character attire which was the character of Lord Rama. Even today, if someone gives an example, he says, stay within the limits like Lord Ram, be Maryada Purshottam. So what was so special about Lord Ram that he is called Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram.

There are manyqualities that make Lord Shri Ram called Maryada Purushottam, but the main 16 qualities that make him called maryada purushotam are as follows:

Lord Shri Ram used to obey his parents since childhood but if someone tells him that he will have to go and live in the forest for 14 years, he would have refused to tell his parents but he obeyed his father's words and endured 14 years.
When Ravan abducted Sita and took her to Lanka, if Ram ji wanted he could have attacked Lanka right then because it was Ravan mistake but first he sent Hanuman to make Ravan understand but he did not listen, then he sent Angad to make him understand but even then he did not listen, so in the end Ram ji kills him, he has so much patience that he waited for so many days and waited for him to understand.
Ram ji is fearless, there is no fear in him.He takes every situation in a courageous manner.
Shri Ram had immense courage. He had the courage to fight. He had the courage to take difficult decisions.

Lord Shri Ram was such a justice king that when in Treta Yuga a washerman in his kingdom said that Sita had stayed at Ravana's house, he abandoned his pregnant wife Sita for the sake of his subjects.
Ram Ji has a generous character that Vibhishan is the brother of Ravana and it is the time of war so how can one adopt the brother of his opponent, so blessed is our Ram who adopted him with his generous character.
So it is said that no matter how beautiful the picture is, if the character is not right then there is no use of having a beautiful picture.
When Ravan sister Surpanakha changes her form and proposes marriage to Ram ji, Ram ji does not even reply by looking at her, he looks at his wife Sita ji's face and answers her, he does not even look at Surpanakha, this is being of good character
When Ram Ji killed Ravana, he told his brother Lakshman to go and learn something from Ravan because he was an elder person but he had no lack of knowledge, so humble is Shri Ram.

Ram ji had four brothers who were such ideal brothers that when he had to go to exile, he made Bharat sit on his throne without worrying about the throne. There was good coordination and love between all the brothers which Shri Ram had maintained.
Even Narayan Ji said that truth is everything. Ram Ji followed this completely. He never lied and always lived with the truth and walked with the truth.
Ram Ji was devoted to his religion. Whenever he heard his brothers say something, he would listen to religion. Whenever he was free in the battlefield, he would perform religious yagya. He was devoted to religion.
Ram ji is so tolerant that even if someone says something to him, he does not reply back, he laughs at that person but does not say anything harsh to him.
Lord Shri Ram is such a great protector that when he disguised himself as Ram Shyam and came to the war between Karna and Pandavas, there was a treaty between them that which side will you be on, Karna's side or Pandavas' side. You had said that whoever
wants to take me can take me but I will not pick up any weapon during the entire war. And when in this war he saw more arrows coming for Arjun, then to save him he had said that he will not pick up any weapon, so he protected him by lifting the wheel of the chariot.
Ram Ji is a skilled warrior and he never uses diplomacy even in war. Rather, Ravan uses diplomacy to kidnap Sita Mata but Shri Ram fights like a skilled warrior throughout the war and does not use any diplomacy.

Despite being a Shree Daata himself, Shri Ram presses the feet of his Guru. He falls at his feet. This is his important quality – Guru Seva
When Ram Ji saw the bones of the saints, he made a firm resolve and vowed that he will kill all the demons from this world and he remained true to his vow.
Lord Shri Ram was the incarnation of Vishnu. He had all the powers, but still he played the role of brother, father and wife in a human form . He was so simple that he even ate the sour berries of Shabri.
When Lord Rama was young, he had the values of respect and etiquette. Vasudev used to bow the head of his parents and teachers. He struggled all his life for a promise of his father. His one dam had so much power that it could dry up the entire ocean, but for the sake of nature, he folded his hands in front of the ocean and requested to cross it. Despite being from a royal family, he had eaten the sour berries of Shabari. Lord Shri Ram never violated the decorum in his entire life, that is why he was known as Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram.
