While every parent deeply loves their child, unconditional support without correction can sometimes do more harm than good. This article explores how ignoring disrespectful behavior, lying, refusal to accept mistakes, and excessive screen time can negatively shape a child’s character and future. She emphasizes that true parental love is not just about standing by the child in all circumstances but also about guiding them toward the right values and behavior. Setting boundaries, correcting wrong actions, and encouraging honesty are essential responsibilities of parents who truly care about their child's long-term well-being.

Every parent loves their children immensely. Whatever the situation, they always stand firmly with their child. But there are some situations in which if you support your son or daughter, then knowingly or unknowingly you are ruining their habits. Love for children is important, but in some situations it is important to give them the right direction instead of expressing it. Otherwise, this love can ruin the child's future. Let's understand this in detail.

In some homes it is seen that children do not behave respectfully with their elders. They talk rudely or reply arrogantly. The sad thing is that many parents ignore all this even after seeing it. And if someone raises this issue with them, then instead of explaining to the child, they start taking his side.

But this attitude gradually makes the child more undisciplined. He assumes that no matter how much misbehavior he does, his parents will always support him. In such an environment, the child is neither able to differentiate between right and wrong nor able to learn to value relationships in the future. So don't do this at all.
Often children start lying to avoid scolding. Even when parents come to know that their child is lying, instead of explaining to them that lying is wrong, they start hiding things from them. They think that he is a child, so sometimes this happens.
But they forget that doing this will become a habit. Also, he then starts resorting to lies to hide his every mistake, and this habit can harm both his character and relationships in the future.
It is seen in some children that whenever their mistake is caught, they refuse to accept it. Parents also ignore this behavior. Instead of correcting the child, they say the opposite: maybe it is not his mistake, or he never does this; someone else must have done it.
This kind of protection by parents is not good for the child. This makes him develop a habit in the future, which can harm the child in the future.
Nowadays, children's screen time has increased a lot. They are now becoming dependent on mobile phones and gadgets for everything from studies to playing. But it is important that there should be a limit on their screen time, because spending excessive time on the screen has a negative impact on their health. But the sad thing is that many times parents give in to their children's stubbornness, and instead of controlling their screen time, they give them the phone or TV remote to keep them quiet. Don't do this at all.
Parents are advised to love their child, but whenever required, they should explain to them and tell them where the child is making mistakes because as parents, it is their responsibility.
