The United States has the world's largest aviation network, with 15,873 airports. There are major international hubs such as JFK, LAX, and O'Hare, but there are also smaller regional airports that ensure smooth air travel across the state of the union. Millions of tourists visit America every year, with New York City remaining one of the top destinations. The wide network allows for efficient traveling both domestically and internationally, making the US a global aviation powerhouse!

2. Brazil – A Country of Extensive Aviation

Coming at second position are the 4,919 airports in Brazil. As the largest country in South America and also the fifth globally, Brazil would need an elaborate network of aerodromes to link most of its states. One such busy airport in Rio de Janeiro serves more than 17 million passengers per annum and more than 140,000 flights yearly. Airports in Brazil would therefore help considerably in promoting the tourism industry that takes travelers on adventures into the Amazon, wonderful cities, and scenic beaches.

3. Australia – The Land of Long-Distance Travel

Australia, with 2,180 airports, stands third in the fray. Given its remote locations and vast landscapes, air travel plays a fundamental role here. From busy airports at Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane to smaller and local and regional airports, Australia's aviation industry fuels the tourism as well as business sectors. It connects the urban cities with remote coastal towns, Outback, and neighboring islands.

4. Mexico – Latin America's Air Travel Hub

The developed airport network will promote fast international movement and make Mexico one of the visited countries around the world. Mexican international airports, such as Cancún International Airport and Mexico City International Airport, receive millions of travelers annually, reaching the diverse sources of the world's metropolises. Whether it is historical monuments, attractive beaches, or lively nightlife, Mexico's broad infrastructure of airports supports its booming tourism industry.

Besides the top five, several other countries have developed robust aviation infrastructures:

5th: Canada – 1,425 airports
6th: United Kingdom – 1,043 airports
7th: Russia – 904 airports
8th: Germany – 838 airports
9th: Argentina – 756 airports

India currently counts for 487 airports, an expanding number according to the developing Indian aviation market. India being one of the worlds fastest travel growing markets has to invest a great deal into infrastructure in air traveling, thus expanding the existing and developing airports as hubs between countries and internal use. Mainstay airports would be Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at Mumbai, and Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore.
