Many divorced women report feeling happier and more fulfilled than they were in marriage. Freed from emotional strain, unequal partnerships, or societal pressure, they often rediscover independence, personal goals, and self worth. Rather than a sign of failure, divorce becomes a path to healing, growth, and living life on their own terms.

As a result of COVID 19 pandemic both the divorce rate and marriage rates have dropped significantly in 2020(nih.gov). By seeing the statistics divorced women are way much happier than the married ones allowing them all the happiness and free from all the burdens they carried along of the family pressure.
In India itself we can see that the women hesitated to even ask their husband to go out or always carry a long veil [dupatta] on their faces to hide. But now we can see them educated well and they know their right of what is wrong and what is right. First they used to stay quiet and not to tell anything to anyone and faced a lot like domestic violence from their husbands itself and the family members told its okay for them to be quiet and tolerate as per the norms they created.
But there is a big difference now, the things have changed, the women are becoming self independent and can fully rely on themselves and take care without the need of their husbands. This is happening due to the awareness spreading among the people for their rights which have been provided to them and if there is any violation they can take the help of the court.
We can see that the married women are more stressed about taking care of all the work by themselves, going to work and then taking care of the children and the husband without seeking any help which becomes difficult for a person to handle on its own and therefore no time is saved for herself, and then comes the time when she becomes lonely and stressed.
Times have changed nowadays, right guidance is being provided through social awareness drives platforms from which the women knows more about the society, how it is controlled and how to manage. If the marriage is not taking place at the right stage outcomes, the women can easily fight a divorce petition seeking alimony or not is her choice. Divorced women are living more happier lives than the married ones as they are now free to take decisions by their own choice, they are having rise in their personal growth and experience relief and high level of self confidence among themselves. This encourages them to take part more in the life going activities . Divorce leads to a escape to a positive impact from the unhappy marriage.
Taking a big step which is being divorced is not as easy as it looks. The women have to face a lot of questions from the society and have to bare with them. Rather the talks comes on the alimony that will the husband give alliance for the future studies of the children or the women have to file a court case regarding it. Then comes how the parents of the women faces in the society. There are a lot of challenges being faced by the women after divorce. But now the women have become self reliant and can take care of her own, the children, and the parents. They don’t need any emotional support and does not care what the society thinks off or says.
