7 Disturbing Claims Against Hong Mingi Explained

Hong Mingi's rising career has suddenly been pulled into a serious controversy after an influencer identified as “A” accused the actor of dating violence, threats, privacy invasion and other alleged abusive behaviour. She shared her claims on social media on August 19, along with a legal document dated July 28 that reportedly outlined alleged criminal conduct. But there is another side to the story. Hong Mingi's agency, Fable Company, has rejected the allegations and says several claims are false. With both sides presenting sharply different accounts, the biggest question is not simply what was alleged, but what can actually be verified.





On August 19, an influencer identified as “A” publicly accused Hong Mingi of abusive behaviour during their alleged relationship. According to reports, she shared a certified legal document prepared through a law firm and described several incidents involving alleged physical violence, threats and controlling behaviour. The claims spread rapidly online because Hong is a rising actor known for Study Group, Love Your Enemy and other Korean dramas. However, the allegations remain claims and have not been established as fact in court or through an independent investigation.


The influencer alleged that Hong threw a soju bottle in her direction, causing it to break, and later claimed he struck her shoulder, pushed her and grabbed her by the neck. She also described an alleged incident involving an electric kickboard, claiming Hong was intoxicated when riding it and that she suffered serious injuries. These are among the most serious accusations made in her account. The influencer alleged that although the actor publicly showed affection for the pet, he behaved differently in private and allegedly kicked and verbally abused the animal. She also claimed the dog was left alone for several days after legal documents were delivered. These claims have not been independently verified. They have nevertheless intensified online discussion because the allegations involve an animal as well as the former relationship. The agency has specifically disputed the pet-abuse allegations and says the public should avoid treating unconfirmed claims as established facts.

Fable Company has strongly disputed the influencer's account. In its response, the agency said the actor and “A” began dating around April 2026 but claimed the relationship ended after Hong learned she remained in contact with a former boyfriend. The agency also alleged that she repeatedly contacted Hong and approached his home and family home. It said some accusations were false and announced plans to consider legal action involving alleged stalking and defamation. The agency also denied the claims involving Hong's dog.

The controversy is still developing, and the public does not yet have a final answer about what happened inside the relationship. Two sharply different accounts are now circulating, making verified evidence especially important. Hong Mingi's agency says it will establish the facts through objective materials and legal procedures, while the influencer has presented her own account and a legal document. Until investigations or legal proceedings establish more, it is safer to describe the situation as allegations rather than a proven case.
