1. Boil the Sweet Potatoes

Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly and boil them in a pressure cooker for 2-3 whistles. Allow them to cool, then peel and grate them finely.

2. Saute in Ghee

Heat ghee in a pan. Add the grated sweet potatoes and sauté for 2-3 minutes until aromatic. This enhances the flavor of the halwa.

3. Add Milk and Sugar

Pour in the milk and mix well. Cook until the milk reduces and thickens. Add sugar and continue cooking until the halwa reaches a rich, thick consistency.

4. Add Dry Fruits and Cardamom

Mix in chopped cashews, raisins, almonds, and cardamom powder. These not only enhance the taste but also increase the nutritional value.

5. Add Khoya (Optional)

For a richer and creamier texture, add fresh khoya and mix well until fully incorporated.

Once the halwa is thick and well-cooked, remove it from heat. Serve hot and enjoy this comforting winter dessert.
