Samosa sheets - 10-12



Green peas - 1 cup


Boiled potatoes -2

Oil - 2-3 tablespoons

Asafoetida (hing) - a pinch

Cumin seeds - ½ teaspoon

Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon

Cumin powder - ½ teaspoon

Red chili powder - ½ teaspoon

Garam masala - ½ teaspoon

Dry mango powder (amchur) - ½ teaspoon

Salt - as per taste

Fresh coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)

Green chili - 1 (finely chopped)

Oil - for deep frying

Prepare the Peas Filling

  • Mash the boiled potatoes and green peas well.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  • Add green chili, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and dry mango powder. Sauté well.
  • Add the mashed peas and potatoes, season with salt, and mix properly.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes and garnish with fresh coriander. The filling is ready.

Prepare the Samosas

  • Fold the samosa sheet into a cone shape and fill it with the prepared mixture.
  • Seal the edges using water to prevent them from opening while frying.

Fry the Samosas

  • Heat oil in a pan. Fry the samosas on medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
