Easy Ways to Remove Smell From Woolen Clothes
- When woolens are packed away for a long time, they accumulate smell because of moisture. The easiest way to remove the smell is to let the clothes breathe. Keep them in fresh air for sometime, but not under direct sunlight as it can damage them.
- Baking soda can also help with removing foul smell from clothes. It is gentle on the fabric and does not damage it. Sprinkle some of it on the clothes and leave for around 30 minutes. Later dust it off .
- White vinegar helps in getting rid of strong smell from clothes. Add one tablespoon of it to a mild detergent and wash the woolen clothes with it. Rinse well and do not use hot water as it can shrink the clothes.
- To keep the clothes smelling pleasant, store the clothes with dried rose petals, or keep cotton balls infused with essential oils like lavender.
