Vivo V80 5G Launch Date Revealed: What to Expect

Vivo's V80 5G mobile phone is scheduled to be launched in India on October 6, 2026, packing an improved battery, enhanced camera functionality, and OriginOS 7. The firm has announced that 4K Cinematic Video, 4K 60fps video recording, and more than 30 AI creative features are available in its new flagship model. It also packs an updated camera unit along with a huge 7,200mAh battery. Though all of the specifications have not been disclosed yet by the company, some information about the smartphone has been leaked till now.


Vivo has already made it official that the launch of the Vivo V80 India will happen on October 6, 2026. The phone will be the first in the V-series of phones to come with OriginOS 7 pre-installed.


The release is scheduled just before the festive season, which is why there is so much emphasis on AI-driven portrait and photography features. The company wants to market this phone as one that is suitable for photo and video lovers.




Cameras are supposed to stand out to be some of the main features of the Vivo V80 5G device. It has been stated that the Vivo smartphone will come with 4K Cinematic Video and 4K 60 fps video capture capabilities. Additionally, the device will have over 30 creative features powered by AI, including AI Diwali Portrait 2.0.

However, the company has not released any information regarding the camera's sensors. Therefore, details of the main camera, telephoto camera, and the front camera remain unknown.

As per Vivo, the battery capacity for the Vivo V80 mobile phone would be 7,200mAh. This will be greater than the battery capacity of 6,500mAh that was present in its predecessor Vivo V70.

The software of this mobile phone would be different from its predecessor.The Vivo V80 will be the first V-series phone from Vivo to run on OriginOS 7 out of the box.

At the same time, there is no confirmation of the data concerning the processor, memory, display, and camera specifications by Vivo as of now. However, according to reports, the Geekbench test results for the phone with the number V2648 imply that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is used, as well as at least 8 GB of RAM.

Namely, the single-core test score was 1,070 points, and the multi-core one was 3,552 points.As these specifications have not been confirmed by Vivo yet, we can regard them as rumored Vivo V80 specifications.

The Vivo V80 design has made some significant modifications in the camera module. The official renders have shown that the camera plateau is large, with two camera rings mounted vertically and another smaller one. This is contrary to the camera module on the Vivo V70, which has a squircle shape.

The device has also been teased in an orange and sky blue finish, and Zeiss branding is seen on the camera module.

However, the actual pricing for Vivo V80 5G in India has not yet been finalized. As per the latest rumors, the Vivo V80 5G phone is said to be priced higher than INR 55,000 in India, but this too is just a rumor.
