Jawa 42 All Stars Gets 60+ Updates, New Colours, Priced From Rs 1.85 Lakh

Jawa has updated the 42 All Stars in India with several changes. At first, the bike may look quite similar to the older version, but there is more going on than just a new paint job. Jawa says it has made more than 60 changes to the motorcycle. These include updates to the wheels, tyres, seat, fenders and headlight. The company has also added new colour options to give the bike a fresh look. With a starting price of Rs 1,84,942 ex-showroom Delhi, the updated Jawa 42 All Stars will now compete with some popular motorcycles in the 350cc segment.




The updated Jawa 42 All Stars is available between Rs 1,84,942 and Rs 1,89,942 ex-showroom. The final price depends on the colour chosen by the buyer. Jawa has introduced five colour options with this update. These are All Stars Ivory, All Stars Nebula Blue, All Stars Moss Grey, All Stars Battle Green and All Stars Black. The black and ivory dual-tone option is also available for people who prefer a more traditional Jawa look. Bookings for the motorcycle have started at dealerships, with deliveries expected to begin soon.


The overall design of the Jawa 42 All Stars has not been completely changed. It still has the round headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and single-piece seat that give it its familiar retro appearance. However, several small changes make the new version look different. The front and rear fenders are now shorter, giving the bike a slightly sharper appearance. The side panels also get new graphics. The headlight has been updated with a domed lens and does not get the earlier grille. This gives the front of the motorcycle a cleaner and simpler look.




The seat is another area where Jawa has made changes. It now looks slimmer than before, but the company says it has worked on the foam to keep it comfortable. The foam thickness and firmness have been adjusted for better comfort, especially when riding for longer periods. This could be useful for people who use the Jawa for both daily rides and weekend trips. The twin exhausts continue to be part of the motorcycle's design. They now sit slightly higher, which Jawa says can also help when riding through water during the monsoon.

The updated Jawa 42 All Stars now gets wider tyres. It uses a 100/90-18 tyre at the front and a wider 150/70-17 tyre at the rear. The bike also gets new alloy wheels that are lighter than before. Lighter wheels can help a motorcycle feel more responsive, especially when changing direction or braking. These changes may not sound very big on paper, but they can make a difference in everyday riding. The wider rear tyre also gives the motorcycle a more muscular stance.



Jawa has not made major changes to the engine. The 42 All Stars continues to use a 294.7cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It produces 27.3 PS of power and comes with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike weighs around 175 kg, which keeps it relatively light compared with some motorcycles in the same category. So, buyers should not expect a completely different performance experience. Most of the changes are focused on the bike's design, comfort and handling.

Jawa is offering a 4-year or 50,000 km standard warranty with the motorcycle. Buyers can also extend the warranty period up to six years. The company is also offering roadside assistance for up to eight years. For someone planning to keep the bike for a long time, this could be a useful addition.

The updated Jawa 42 All Stars is not simply an old motorcycle with a few new colours. Jawa has made several changes to its design, tyres, wheels and seat.
