After receiving this extraordinary protection, he became known as Sahasra Kavach the warrior with a thousand shields feared even by powerful beings.



Believing himself invincible, Sahasra Kavach returned to challenge the two sages once again. But Nar and Narayan had already accepted the responsibility of ending his arrogance. Their strategy was extraordinary. One sage fought Sahasra Kavach continuously for thousands of years while the other performed intense penance to regain spiritual power. Whenever one died after breaking an armor, the other revived him through divine energy, and the battle continued again. Slowly, one armor after another was destroyed. Centuries passed. Yugas changed. Eventually, only one final armor remained, and Sahasra Kavach escaped under the protection of Surya himself.

According to this spiritual interpretation, the remaining armor did not disappear with time. Protected by Surya, Sahasra Kavach was reborn in the next age as Karna, carrying the final divine kavach from his previous existence.
